The hardest-working rooms

Pantries, Laundries & Wardrobes

Pantries, laundries and wardrobes earn their keep every single day. We design them with the same care as a kitchen: measured, itemised, and built in our workshop to fit your actual stuff.

Pantries, Laundries & Wardrobes by Grainline Kitchens & Cabinetry
Scope

What this job includes.

  • Butler's and walk-in pantries with appliance bays
  • Laundry cabinetry with hampers and drying rails
  • Built-in and walk-in wardrobe systems
  • Internal drawers, dividers and custom inserts
  • Benchtops and splashbacks to match the kitchen
Our system: We design storage from an inventory of what you own, not a brochure layout, which is why the pantry still works in five years.
How we quote it

A fixed, itemised proposal from a measured design.

Named hardware, named slabs, signed drawings. The price cannot drift because the spec cannot drift.

The 7-line quote
  1. 1 The measured design. Laser-measured, drawn to the millimetre, and signed off by you before anything is cut.
  2. 2 Cabinetry, itemised. Carcass material, door fronts, hardware brand and finish, every unit on its own line.
  3. 3 Benchtops & surfaces. Stone or timber, slab grade, edge profile and cutouts, priced exactly, not "from".
  4. 4 Install & trades coordination. Our installers, plus the licensed plumber and electrician scheduled around your build.
  5. 5 Appliance integration. Panels, cutouts and clearances for your chosen appliances, checked against the drawings.
  6. 6 Approvals & site allowances. Where walls or services move: approvals, waste and protection, accounted for, not discovered.
  7. 7 Warranty, in writing. 10-year cabinetry warranty plus registered Blum and benchtop manufacturer warranties at handover.
If a quote doesn’t show these lines, you can’t compare it, and you don’t know what’s been cut.
How it runs

What happens, step by step.

1

Consult & measure

Showroom or in-home. We measure properly, talk budget honestly, and listen to how you actually cook.

2

Design & quote

A millimetre-accurate design with a fixed, itemised proposal. You sign off the drawings, not a sketch.

3

Built in our workshop

Your cabinetry is made in-house on the Sunshine Coast, checked against the drawings before it leaves.

4

Install & handover

Installed by the makers, trades coordinated, site left clean. Walkthrough against the drawings at handover.

Insured, covered, guaranteed

The paperwork behind the price.

Public liability to $20M, and a 10-year cabinetry warranty, all in writing, all on request.

Kitchen work over $3,300 in Queensland legally requires a QBCC licence on the contract, ours is on every proposal. We carry public liability to $20M, the cabinetry is warranted in writing for ten years, and the hardware and benchtop warranties are registered for you at handover.

The cover, the guarantee, and how to check each one.
Questions, answered

Pantries, Laundries & Wardrobes: common questions.

Can the pantry match the kitchen you built us?
Yes, same boards, same fronts, same hardware, documented from your original project file. A Grainline kitchen and its pantry read as one piece of joinery.
Do you do laundry renovations on their own?
Yes. A laundry is a compact, high-value project: cabinetry, benchtop and the plumber coordinated, typically inside two weeks from sign-off to handover.
Is a butler's pantry worth adding, and what does it cost?
Worth it when you have the floor space: a butler's pantry takes the bench clutter out of the main kitchen and gives you a hidden prep zone for serious cooking. Expect $8,000 to $20,000 depending on size, benchtop choice and whether a sink goes in. The design consult confirms whether your space can carry one.
How much storage can I realistically fit in a butler's pantry?
More than you expect. We design from an inventory of what you actually own: bench appliances, bottles, overflow that currently has no home. A 2.5-metre run with full-height joinery handles a serious household comfortably.
Do I need a sink in the pantry?
Useful but not essential. A sink lets you prep, fill the kettle and manage the coffee station without going back to the main kitchen. If the pantry is close to the main sink it is often not necessary; if it is a dedicated prep zone, it is worth the plumber's visit.
